On the weekend of December 06/07, sixteen Huttli gathered again this year for our annual Christmas get-together, arriving via various routes. A small group hiked up already on Friday evening, ensuring a warm hut for the rest of the group.
The Stelli group definitely had the most memorable experiences. At the summit, they had a wonderful encounter with several ibex. The “Stein” out of “Steinbock” theme remained relevant for the first part of the descent – there simply wasn’t enough snow at the top. Opinions were divided about the rest of the descent, but the author was certainly happy with the abundance of powder that could already be found among the rocks.

Most participants reached the hut as the last light of day faded, looking forward to a delicious dinner. This year, the main dish were delicious Pizzoccheri di Poschiavo.
After a surprisingly quiet night in the dorm, the groups set off again in different directions the next morning and were able to end the weekend with some still-beautiful powder runs on the Glattwang before it started to rain in the afternoon.
